Never go to bed angry

They said they believed in never going to bed angry at each other and they didn't.
They said just look at us after all these years just look at us.
We did.
What hardships may came they weathered and always seemed rich in an old jacket handed down.
I felt like I was in the presence of royalty.
The love they shared reigned supreme.
They managed to live some lovely little version of that old American dream.
What a beautiful thing cut short it did seem and like yesterday and the day before we are all left with the feeling of wanting just a little more.
I never want to go to bed angry but sometimes I do only because we all can't be as lucky as he both of you.
