Kat Von D to Jeffree Star - It's so much easier to do the right thing
WHAT I THINK OF THIS: She disabled comments and I don't think it's just to keep anyone from bashing anyone. That is EXACTLY what she is doing! I think this video is more of an open letter to him since he keeps blocking her after their last text exchange. As much as I appreciate her skills and products, this is a very mean girl public nastiness. It seems, maybe, that she knows she is wrong for this because she can barely look at the camera. She is mincing words and picking on him for his lifestyle which is much like hers! No. Bad Kat. She is bad mouthing other brands as well even if for a fair enough reason, except she is doing it to defame someone else, and she is just plain wrong.
As for Jeffrey, he needs to own up to even the smallest misstep with Kat or business. Even if it was a misunderstanding, miscommunication, or lack thereof, take one for the team, and be done with this mess. I don't have a problem with him using weed for anxiety but he might need to try some other things to help him too, like meditation maybe, or doing more things to express himself artistically because that's what helps me and if I don't have an outlet or a few, I get a little moody and frankly, miserable. There is a difference between helping yourself and overindulging. Artists have a tendency to overindulge.
I hope they make amends even if just to show professionalism but I'm not holding my breath. I am going to keep loving them both regardless. Just as something to bear in mind when judging Jeffree for his past, not only should we consider our own mistakes, but allow me to shed some light onto the possibly forgotten or forgiven past of Kat Von D...
She did date Jesse James, and while he was outed as a racist, SHE was still dating him. She only left him after he had cheated on her. There were two other known incidents prior to this. When she left Miami Ink, it was not first without her taking racist jabs at Ami James. I won't give the details here to fuel any flames but the info is out there. According to her ex, Steve-O, he was also a victim of Kat's antisemitism back when they dated the first time in 2005. So apparently he had forgiven her and gave her a second chance. You can google that.
Lastly, I do encourage everyone to try to let this be an example of how important it is to forgive. We all need to try and understand that if we expect the world to become a better place to exist in, then we all need to forgive more, hate less, and as the saying goes, let sleeping dogs lie!! I hope that by bringing up some of Kat's mistakes, we can move past this and not bash her or keep picking on Jeffree. It's just so petty by now. They each make beautiful makeup catering to all types of people who have different skin tones and that is enough, that is good business!!! Let it be.
